Wired
The world and its ever growing need for energy and communication, connections. I find some strange beauty in this jungle of ugly wires overhead.

Something fishy
A souvenir from the "Marché Aux Poissons" in Fort-de-France. None of the fishermen wanted their photo taken, but it was ok for their catch!

99 bottles on the wall
On a tour of the Gold Country, we were once lucky to have a private tour of the buildings at the North Bloomfield ghost town (close to Malakoff Diggings). This was taken in the saloon.
Mining was hard and the men spent what little was left of their pay after room & board trying to forget their dire condition through alcohol. Effectively giving back the hard earned money to their employer who was owning everything in town.

Seeds
I was intrigued by the white fluffy stuff I was seeing in the Yosemite Valley's meadows until I came close and discovered it was the open pods of the Showy Milkweed, full of seeds ready to take off on their journey to a new life.

Blue truck
I liked the shape of this pick-up truck that I found a bit out of place in that street. Framing and composition are less than ideal though.

Zantedeschia
A single white and yellow calla lily from a San Francisco community garden. The latin name is more poetic!

After the rain
A flashback to Australia for this delicate flower, shot after one of these tropical storms that stop as suddenly as they start and leave everything soaking wet

Stairways to heaven?
Point Cabrillo
We had moody skies the whole weekend. This one serves as a nice backdrop for Point Cabrillo lighthouse.

Old wagon at the salt ponds
Unfortunately the sky was really ordinary today, so I chose a close up of the wagon instead of a broad landscape view.
